Reiss was born in Birmingham where he lived until the age of ten, moving to Cannock, Staffordshire thereafter. He did fairly well in school and has always been heavily involved in anything of an athletic nature. Reiss joined the Army aged just 16 years old.

Reiss served for several years as a Commando-trained Observation Post Assistant, which saw him work in a variety of countries with an emphasis on telecommunications, as a member of a small team and which required him to use and maintain a variety of technical equipment.

Since the establishment of his long-term partner's start up business just under two years ago Reiss has also aided and assisted in the initial planning, service development, marketing, accounting and administration aspects thereof.

Reiss is  currently looking to utilise part-time or volunteer opportunities to allow him to gain valuable experience in the business and/or marketing industry. Whilst also studying for his first degree at the University of Wolverhampton.

In August 2017 Reiss deployed with Veterans for Wildlife to the Balule Nature Reserve in order to put his years of experience as an OP Assistant to good use. Alongside his good friend and team mate Josh, Reiss fulfilled a critical surveillance support function for anti-poaching rangers in the area. Providing overwatch for vulnerable animal populations, monitoring human activity and passing relevant intelligence to the rangers.
