Major General (Retd.) Johan Jooste served for a total of 35 years in the South African Defense Force (SADF), and he is now the Head of Special Projects for South African National Parks (SANParks). Amongst other responsibilities, General Jooste leads the team responsible for protecting over 40% of the world's rhino. He is arguably one of the world's most qualified and experienced voices when it comes to the prevention of wildlife crime and conservation matters in Southern Africa.

"Able and ready to serve our cause in a time in history when the odds are stacked against conservation and facing real challenges for the enforcement of law in our protected areas. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. For the rhino."
