Dale Michael Edwards Dale Edwards travelled to South Africa as a volunteer with Veterans for Wildlife in September 2017 as one of two veterans offering basic tactical and first aid training to rangers at Nambiti Game Reserve in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province. Being a former Royal Marines Commando, he employed the skills gained in five years of military service (as well as extensive experience in the private security sector) in order to help train the rangers who are engaged in an ongoing struggle to protect the country's wildlife.

The challenge Dale will be undertaking in September 2018 will take him from Northern Ireland, through Wales and England before ending at Spean Bridge, Scotland encompassing the 4 highest peaks of the British Isles; Slieve Donard, Snowdon, Scafell and Ben Nevis along the way. He will be completing the journey entirely on foot covering around 18 miles per day for 4 weeks, totalling approximately 500 miles and all funds will go to Veterans For Wildlife to aid them in anti-poaching projects across the African continent.
