Join us on Friday 29 June 2018 at 1700 BST as the Veterans for Wildlife team tackles the question of mental health, PTSD, the potential role of animal-assisted therapy as well as our brand new project Footprints of Hope.

The second offering in our Dispatches series is focussed on veteran well-being and the small part that Veterans for Wildlife is looking to play in support of this cause. Indeed, mental health is becoming an ever-greater topic of discussion, with some commentators going so far as to suggest that we need to develop mental health and fitness like we do physical health and fitness.

Many veterans that we come across speak of struggling to transition into civilian life - for a variety of reasons. Significant mental health injuries, such as PTSD, form part of the picture but are by no means all there is to talk about. Many of us face challenges that we have not adequately been trained to deal with. This is normal and we should feel comfortable discussing such issues.
